Stampbook Saturday: Background Stamping

Hi everyone. Its Wendy and today I'm sharing one of my favorite ways to use stamps...in my scrapbooking!

Supplies Used: There She Goes (Dream in Color, Journal Lines), Memento Ink, Copics, Cardstock

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this flower stamp?! I began by stamping the flower all over my cardstock. Next I created a bunch of masks for the flowers and stamped the Journaling Lines to fill in the background and make it look like a sheet of notebook paper with doodles. To make the focus of my layout the photo of my son and the pop of colorful title, I kept the coloring of the flowers simple. I used C1, C3 and B00 around the outlines.

I've been scrapbooking and stamping for about 10 years now, but I really didn't begin adding stamping to my layouts until the last few years. Now a layout just doesn't feel finished to me until I add a bit of stamping to it. Do you enjoy stamping on your layouts?
